Mission Statement The United States Youth Volleyball League's mission is to provide every child between the ages of 7 and 14 a chance to learn and play volleyball in a fun, safe, supervised environment. One of the main tenets of the program is to encourage children to do their best with their abilities. With an emphasis on positive reinforcement, the program seeks to build confidence and self-esteem in each child.
Volunteer Duties The USYVL is always in search of talented individuals who are looking to make a difference in the youth sports experience for children in their community. Consider volunteering as a Site Director, Head Coach, Assistant Coach, First Aid Administrator, Clinician, Coaching Administrator, Scheduling Administrator and Registration Desk. 
The site director manages the local site and heads the site commission to insure proper organization and operation of the league within the framework of the USYVL bylaws, guidelines and policies. Responsible for communicating with the main office and keeping them updated about the status of the site. (3 hour commitment per week) 
Head Coach will run practices and games under the direction of the site clinician. Responsible for teaching technical skills and life skills. No experience needed. Coaching clinics and manuals provided. (2 1/2 hours per week) 
Assistant Coach will assist coach with running practices and games under the direction of the site clinician. Assist in teaching technical and life skills. No experience needed. Coaching clinics and manuals provided. (2 1/2 hours per week) 
First Aid Administrator requires current certification in basic first-aid training including CPR. Position attends to injuries and any unsafe conditions on the playing area. (1-2 hours per week) 
Clinicians: Responsible for teaching the proper fundamentals of volleyball and making sure the volunteer coaches working with each team are running the drills correctly. Previous volleyball experience is required for this position. (3 hours per week) 
Coaching Administrator: Responsible for locating a reliable and qualified clinician and making sure that all volunteer coaching positions are filled prior to the start of the season. (4-6 hours per season) 
Scheduling Administrator: Responsible for coordinating the local league. (4-6 hours per season) 
Registration: Assist site director with registration and check-in. Assist site director with distribution of player uniform t-shirts and volunteer shirts. (1-2 hours per week) 
We simply look for individuals that enjoy working with kids and are dependable.
